Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Is my suite worth recovering?
A. As a general rule, it should cost about half to two thirds of
the cost of an equivalent new suite to repair and recover. If your
lounge or dining chairs have sprung seats or show wood it is almost
certainly better than anything available today and well worth recovering
no matter what the current condition.
Q. Will my suite be the same when it is
recovered?
A. We will recover your suite "as is", that is as it was
originally upholstered. If you require any changes these will be
discussed at the time we give you our quote and all details will
be written down.
Q. How long will the work take?
A. For most lounge suites it will take one to two weeks to complete
the job. We will order your fabric when you accept the quote and
pay a deposit of 20%, a date and time for pickup and estimation
for time of delivery will be given also.
Q. Will my suite be comfortable after
it is recovered?A. We will discuss any comfort problems you have
when we do a quote for you.
A. Generally a comfort problem is the result of worn seat foam and/or
webbing or spring suspension in the seat. Your suite will be stripped
back to the frame and any spring, webbing or frame problem rectified.
If you require new seat cushion fillings we will replace them with
10-year guarantee foam or a blended feather/foam filling, as you
require.
